Jeffrey L. Eakin, MD specializes in minimally invasive gastrointestinal, bariatric and robotic surgery. He also has an interest in trauma surgery, and the management of the critically ill surgical patient.

During fellowship, he studied advanced techniques in many general surgical procedures including but not limited to: laparoscopic gastroesophageal reflux surgery, laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery and laparoscopic gastric, pancreatic and liver resection. He was also trained to perform sleeve gastrectomies and roux-en-y gastric bypasses for the surgical management of morbid obesity.

Dr. Eakin has won numerous awards for teaching and leadership including: General Surgery Chief Resident of the Year, Surgery Resident Teacher of the Year, and Housesteff Teacher of the Year. In 2011, he was inducted into the The Arnold P. Gold Foundation for Humanism and Excellence for his commitment to teaching and compassionate treatment of patients and families, students and colleagues.
